The Communist Party has decided to take part in the parliamentary general elections that will take place on 7 June 2015 with its own candidate list throughout the country.
We have a claim in the elections.
Statements that only the communists can voice have materialised in Turkey.
The reactionary and brutal regime, named by AKP as 'the new Turkey' has reached the end of the road long ago. The foundations of this regime have to be clarified. AKP government is maintained owing to the uncertainty of how it will be substituted, the benefits an afflicted AKP renders, the practical help it gives in utilising the criminal fanatic gang.
Nobody should expect those murdered in the mines, constructions and streets to be forgotten and those forced to keep silent, just for some political powers to make preparations for the restoration after AKP. The Communist Party could not be leave the working people helpless, soundless and unrepresented. One mission of a communist party is to uncover the plots made against the people and the country, to prevent such plots and definitely to represent the working class.
This system with or without AKP is finished leaving no hope of reform. It is unacceptable to let the system of exploitation and plundering go on, degenerating the lives of our people as it degenerates itself. There is no chance for its rehabilitation in some way or another with a better parliamentary composition, its amelioration by adopting different approaches and its improvement by means of projects. A system that can not survive without murdering workers and women every single day, causing distress in neighbouring countries, provoking sects against each other should be destroyed! What is missing in this political stage filled with imposters incessantly tantalising the people is the revolutionary role challenging the entire established order with all its institutions. The Communist Party will take this role.
The elections itself does not have a vital importance as it is claimed. The parliament that will be reconstituted is the one that supported the government when AKP was about to be swept away by the people during the June Resistance in 2013. Those who called the government for dialogue when the people were calling the government to resign and those who accused the masses of plotting a coup against the government are now soliciting votes from the people claiming that they are the alternative to AKP. Turkey is not a country for easy solutions. There is no single problem that voting can solve in the present power balance. One has to call the masses of people to organise instead of calling them to the elections. The Communist Party is taking part in the elections to organise the workers, the intellectuals, the youth and the women.
Those who espouse and support the virtues of secularism, independence, brotherhood of the people, peace, equality, freedom are not powerless. All of these virtues were neutered, their meaning distorted, just to maintain the dictatorship of the wealthy classes. The Communist Party takes part in the elections to challenge this political degeneration and corruption and to show that the remedy is to organise the people in an unprecedented scale and to fulfil this claim.
This system that promotes the thief, the murderer, the zealot will doubtlessly be destroyed.
